ADDICTED TO SHOOTING THE UNDERWATER WORLD
My first breaths underwater were back in 1997, with an opportunity to experience diving whilst serving with the British Armed Forces. After this I was hooked. Starting as a PADI Open water diver and now many years later working in the diving industry as a Technical and Cave Diving Instructor with TDI.
Initially capturing video or photo was just another way to add some technicality to the dives and help to memorialise them for myself. But again this developed over time to become an integral part of diving for me and one of my biggest passions.
Always Searching For The Shot
I love to capture divers at work especially in the beautiful surroundings of the overhead environment – Caves and Wrecks. My aim is that my photos should tell a story that the viewer can immerse themselves into.
“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
“There is only you and your camera. The limitations in your photography are in yourself, for what we see is what we are.”
“Black and white are the colors of photography. They symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which mankind is subjected.”
